We've done every study possible, every exam, experiment, you name it. Her weight is infinite, yet non-existent. Her size and mass can be compressed to a marble size with the density of air, yet can stretch an infinite distance. She could take the shape of anything, yet prefers to keep in a female form. Her physical makeup could be as dense as air, or harder that the strongest alloys on Earth. 
And to do these tests...did we have to capture her? No. She actually asked to be studied because she claims to have little memory of her past.

Material testing and aging tests of all calibers were completely useless in telling how long she's been around. As far as we know, there was only one big bang. It boggles the scientific community's minds to think she could be older what we are now calling "hoc universi".

Though there are many more like her known to live on this rock we know EVERYTHING about them. How they reproduce*1, what sustains them*2, viscosity*3, EVERYTHING. But there is nothing to find out about Moira other than what she tells us from her degraded memory. Apparently she had tried living in a symbiotic relationship and the host became catatonic after seeing the history of the universe. Refuses to meld in with any human, but is terrified as to what may happen if she tried doing so with another amorphis being.

1* Reproduction consists of essentially polluting the reproductive system of whatever subject chooses. The offspring will come from an egg regardless of mammalian nature or not.
2* Most "slimes" form a symbiotic bond. The slime absorbs the fat cells of the host and they can have their genetic/cellular information rearranged in any way they wanted.
3* Viscosity seems to be born into the individual at random. they can be as thick as marmalade, or as thin as water.
